Ralph E. King, 87, Lincoln, died Tuesday (11-17-09). Born (1-15-22) in Waterloo, NE to George and Ruth (Todd) King. District Manager, Chevrolet Motor Division, 35 years. Married to Mary Lou Koenig (8-16-47). Graduate of University of Nebraska Lincoln; lettered in track (high hurdles) (1941, 42, 46 and 47); served in U. S. Marines (1943-45). Member of American Legion Post #3, serving as Commander, President of Legion Board for 26 years. Member of 40 & 8, Lancaster Lodge #54, A.F. & A.M.
Family members include wife: Mary Lou; sons, daughters-in-law: Stephen E. and Dolores King, Omaha; Bradley R. and Elizabeth King, Lincoln; grandchildren: Molly, Zachary, Matthew, Christin, Nicholas, Kara, Kelly and Nate; 4 great grandchildren; sister: Betty Lambert, Plattsmouth, NE. Preceded in death by daughter Carole Ann, son Gregory.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Monday (11-23-09) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street. Rev. Dr. Andrew McDonald officiating.
