Ralph (Bud) Louis Beach

January 11, 1917 - March 1, 2011

Ralph (Bud) Louis Beach, Sr., 94, Eagle, Nebraska, and most recently of Phillipsburg, Kansas, died Tuesday (3-1-11) in Phillipsburg, KS. Born (1-11-17) in Bynum, Montana to Clarence E. and Mary Carrie (Condra) Beach. Retired Mail Carrier, 24 years. Married to Maxine Root on January 14, 1941 in Seward, Nebraska. WWII U.S. Army Veteran. Past Commander and 57 year member American Legion Post #197, 25 year member Rural Fire District, helped establish Community Building in Eagle, collected and rebuilt antiques for many years. Member of the Eagle United Methodist Church. Most recently attended Phillipsburg Church of God.

Family members include sons, daughters-in-law: Ed and Marge Beach, Phillipsburg, KS, Ralph, Jr. and Ruth Beach, Lincoln, NE, Frank and Mary Beach, Agra, KS, Jim and Arlene Cooper, Eagle, NE, 11 grandchildren, Chris and Russ Beach and Kerri Footh, Randy and Ryan Beach, Tracy Beach, Tammy Gordon, Cindy and Trevor Cockerham, Brian Cooper and Brent Cooper; 22 great grandchildren; half-brother: Robert Earl Schmidt, East Sound, WA; 4 nephews.

Special Thanks to son Ed and Marge who cared for Ralph for the last 8 years.

Funeral Service: 12:30 p.m. Saturday (3-5-11) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street.

Memorials to the Church of God, 135 Tenth Street, Phillipsburg, Kansas 67661.

Visitation beginning noon Friday until service time, funeral home.
