Phyllis Royer

December 6, 1932 - December 19, 2024

Phyllis Marie Royer, 92, of Lincoln, NE, passed away on December 19, 2024. She was born on December 6, 1932, in Carthage, MO, to Caswell J. “J.C.” & Magdalene (Buterbaugh) Johnson. She worked as an Elementary Teacher for LPS. Phyllis was a member of the Church of the Brethren where she served as a church youth leader. She was active in her community as a 4-H Leader, a member of the Square and Round Dance Association, the Star City Squares, Lincoln Educators Association, and a Director of Camp Mt. Hermon.

Phyllis enjoyed traveling, camping, arts, and crafts.

Family members include her husband G. Dale; daughters Dalene (Steve) Ward, Leanne (Robert) Dunlap, Cindy Royer, and Denise (Ken) Becker; grandchildren Janae Pianalto, Ashley Hauck, Brooke (Dan) Cashman, Max (Grace) Dunlap, Josh Ward, and Lindsey (Jay) Sayers; great-grandchildren Keeden, William, Rachel, Aryah, Dominic, Noah, Peyton, Marilyn, Oliver, Ysabella, and Summer; sister Joan Wilson. Preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Louise Smith.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 23rd at the Roper and Sons South Chapel (3950 Hohensee Dr.) Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service.

Memorials to Harbor Senior Care, Antelope Park Church of the Brethren, and Foundation for Lincoln Public Schools, ATTN: Kahoa Elementary School.
