December 13, 1951 - May 22, 2024

Patricia (Patti) Frances Cowher (72), of Lincoln, passed away on May 22, 2024 in her home.

Patti was born on December 13, 1951 to Richard A. and Agnes M. (Rezac) Stillmock in Omaha. After Patti graduated from Marion High School in 1970, she went on to study Interior Design and Fashion Merchandizing at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

She married Lonnie D. Cowher on May 17, 1974 at St. Bernard Church in Omaha. Patti and Lonnie had two daughters Jennifer S. and Chelsea D. Cowher.

Patti was always a very active member of her community—Alliance Museum Board, 4-H leader, member of Leadership Box Butte and Box Butte Development Board, member of the Gingham Gals, and member and former Nebraska state president of PEO. She was also passionate about sewing, which she made time to do every day.

Patti was predeceased by her parents and brother Richard A. Stillmock. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, one granddaughter Ashlyn R. Cowher, sisters Barbara J. Motsenbocker, Elizabeth A. (Garry) Morgan, Carmela J. (David) Johnson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at St. Peters Catholic Church, 4500 Duxhall Drive on June 4, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. Lunch to be served afterwards.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lincoln Childrens Zoo where they frequented with their granddaughter.

Lonnie, Jen, and Chelsea– I am deeply sorry for your loss. I was caught off guard today when learning about Patti’s passing. With that came a flood of wonderful and fond memories of my childhood. There is no one in the world quite like your mom! I’ll never forget our carpooling rides to Daylight Donuts after Kindergarten, the meals and camaraderie (jokes mainly) shared around the dinner table, the handmade Hot Dog costume, cheering us on academically and athletically, and an occasional, deserved scolding in disapproval, resulting in demanding to clean her house, and so many more! Your mom made a positive influence on my life. Not hard to believe considering all her accomplishments in life. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Patti will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on with all of us who were lucky enough to have known her. With heartfelt sympathy, Megan
