Obituary

Pamela Brentzel

April 23, 1960 - July 5, 2025

Pamela Jean Brentzel passed away with her family by her side on July 5 at the age of 65 years. Pam was born on April 23, 1960 in Columbus, Nebraska.

Pam leaves behind her parents, Marylnn and Richard Brentzel, her sister Vicki and her nephews Andrew (A.J.), Brian and Keith along with their families.

Pam spent most of her life in Fremont, NE graduating from Fremont High in 1979.  Shortly thereafter she moved to Denton, TX with her parents and worked for her parents. Pam moved back to Nebraska upon her father’s retirement and has been in Lincoln for the last ~25 years. Pam worked for many years at CiCi’s pizza making boxes.

Pam had many struggles over her life since birth.  Pam lived thru polio as a young child and then had a serious accident in her early 30’s leaving her with a brain injury that caused mental and physical challenges.

Pam loved going to Las Vegas and Branson enjoying the shows with those she loved. Pam loved to play the horses and was very lucky winning most of the time.  Winning enough to buy her favorite large coke. She also bowled for many years with special Olympics.

Pam was an advocate for God and one of the friendliest and giving people you could meet. Pam was always active in church wherever she lived. She would talk to everyone she met and offered help when she could.

Pam always pushed herself hard to not let her challenges get in her way.  Even with all the struggles she focused on spending time with people and spreading God’s word.

For those that know Pam well, they will say they were blessed to have had her in their life.

No matter what God’s purpose was for Pam on this earth, Pam was a role model for spreading God’s word.  Pam is now with God, running, seeing and talking without any challenges.

Pam’s final act of love was to be an organ donor.

Thank you, Pam, for making all of our lives better with you in it.
