Norma graduated from Adams High School in 1951 where she played volleyball, and then begin teaching after graduation. She married Russel Huetson, also from Adams, in June 1953.
She lived in Crete Nebraska for a few years and began teaching at a one-room country school. Upon moving to Lincoln, she went back to the University of Nebraska at night to obtain her teaching certificate, allowing her to then teach at Calvert Elementary in Lincoln.
Norma had many close friends with whom she and Russ would travel with or go to events. She enjoyed cooking for her family and gardening.
Norma was a member of the Sheridan Lutheran Church.
She spent her last four years at Fallbrook Assisted Living in Lincoln, enjoying visits from her family and friends.
Family members include her daughter Angie (Mike) Luben, Wahoo; son Curt (Pam) Huetson, Westminster, CO; grandchildren Zachary, Trevin, and Taylor Luben, Kelcy (Steph) Burg, Connor, and Delaney Huetson; great grandsons Fox and Atticus Burg.
Preceded in death by husband Russ, her parents, sisters Francis (Seyler) and Helen (Rickman), and her brothers Leon, Edward, and Harvey Behrens.
Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Sheridan Lutheran Church, 6955 Old Cheney Rd. Lincoln, NE
