Nelva Jean Scheer, 82, of Gothenburg, NE, formerly of Lincoln, passed away Friday (5-3-13). Born (10-22-30) in rural Sterling, NE to Henry and Lena (Schmidt) Christline. Baptized on (11-9-30). She and her husband were longtime Lincoln residents. Jean married Dale on (5-18-52). She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker.
Survived by son, Dennis (Vicki) Scheer, Lincoln; daughters, Cynthia (Brian) Jackson, Wayzata, MN; Janette (Ernie) Blecha) Gothenburg, NE; grandchildren, Mark and Michael Scheer, Sarah (Jason) Borchers, John (Heather) Blecha, Joanna Blecha, Sam and Naomi Jackson; great-grandchild, Lillian Borchers; sisters-in-law, Lee Adelle (Jim) Starkey, Patti Scheer; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, Dale; parents; brother, Belden and sister, Adelaide.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Thursday (5-9-13) Christ Lutheran Church. 4325 Sumner Street with Rev. Dr. Luke Schnake officiating. 10:00 am committal service at Fairview Cemetery, 84th & Adams.
