Muriel R. Pearson, 84, of Lincoln, died Friday, May 4, 2012. Born July 3, 1927 in Craig, Nebraska to Rudolph L. and Elzada (Close) Nelson. Ret. 1994, School Teacher for 36 ½ years. Member: St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, lifetime member of N.S.E.A. and N.E.A., active in Lincoln Area Teachers Association and Keenagers, past president of St. Edward Teachers Association and Alumni Association for Love Hall, active 4-H leader and past president of UNL 4-H.
Family members include son, daughter-in-law: Douglas R. and Susan Pearson, Garden City, KS; grandchildren: Katherine Pearson, Manhattan, KS, Daniel Ross Pearson, Garden City, KS; sister: Zeltha Mae Larson, Pender, NE; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, brothers Harold and Irwin Nelson, aunts Hannah Anderson, Minnie Jarff and Valera Walters.
Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 8550 Pioneers Blvd. Pastor Wayne Alloway, officiating.
