We lived on Pepper Street also, So many memories of Mike. He thought me how to ride a bike going downhill on the driveway, I said I can’t do this he said yes you can you better or we’re gonna crash, Steer! He was on the back of my Schwinn . Remember we went to Roux’s cafe all the time to help his mom Pat. Oh Pepper, times are memories to me. Loved the Loo’s, Roux’s. We did play lots of neighborhood games – having a brother Dave him and mike were buddies. We played doorbell ditch ‘em. May you rest In peace Mike, Miss You buddy.

I’m so sorry to hear of Mikey’s passing. I grew up on Pepper Ave and remember playing the old games kids used to play. Hide and Seek, Red Rover Red Rover, Tag, Mother May I..and more. I have fond memories of all the Roux kids, Loos kids (Boo Boo)and Ellis girls. I’m glad we got to share those times together. I hope you take comfort in knowing he was very loved by many people.

Very sad to hear of passing of my friend Mikey. We were great friends growing up and I had many sleepovers at his old house on Pepper St. and watching King King or Godzilla movies late at night on his TV that was at the end of his bed. His wonderful family and mom, Edith I remember vividly. We played baseball (coached by his Dad, John), and basketball and many other sports together and always had a blast. Mike was a great athlete and friend. I remember going with him on many events, sneaking into NU football games, and one event where I got clocked in the head by a swinging door when we went out to bar/restaurant after a game with Gary & Mimi. It dang near knocked me out. Funny the things you remember. Unfortunately, I drifted apart from Mike after I graduated college and moved to Texas. Mike and I would talk at times but it it would get farther and farther apart. I did get a chance to visit Mike this past January in-person and enjoyed it immensely, clearly Mike was struggling for awhile. I shared the gospel message with Mike and occasionally we would talk on the phone when I could get him to answer. I thank God for the time I had with Mikey. May the peace of God which surpasses all understanding keep our hearts & minds in Christ Jesus and help comfort his family & friends during this time of bereavement.
