Melvern L. “Mel” Finke, 71, of Lincoln, passed away December 23, 2015. Born April 13, 1944 in Chicago, IL to Melvin and Iola (Jacobmeier) Finke. Graduate of Walton High School. Mel was in the car business since 1969. Worked at Gotfredson, DeBrowns, and DuTeau’s for a number of years and then he bought cars for other car dealers.
Family members include his wife, Barbara; sister, Marlene (Bob) Bloomgarden, San Diego, CA; brother, Marlin Finke; his special dog, Kate; and many other friends and relatives. Preceded in death by parents.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (12-30-15) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street with Pastor Robert Wentzel officiating. Burial in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Walton, NE.
Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Tuesday with family present from 6-8 pm at Roper and Sons.
