Max Leroy “Uncle Bub” Gloekler, 74, Lincoln, died Tuesday (9-14-10). Born (7-8-36) in Denver, Missouri to Martin and Alma Ellen (Bridges) Gloekler. Korean Conflict Veteran, U.S. Army 11th Airborne Medical Corp. Ret. Parts and Service Representative, National Crane Company, 26 yrs, also worked for the Nebraska Department of Roads and Earl Reddish farms. Married to Selma Hansen on May 4, 1957. Member: United Lutheran Church.
Family members include wife: Selma V.; son: Lynn Martin Gloekler; daughters, sons-in-law: Debra and Richard Bales, JR., Brenda and Kerry Anderson; grandchildren: Rick Bales III, Jennifer Bales and Austin Vachal; great grandson: Mason, all of Lincoln; many nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends. Preceded in death by parents, 1 brother, 3 sisters.
Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday (9-18-10) United Lutheran Church, 5945 Fremont. Pastor Myron Meyer officiating. Max disliked dressing up, so please come in casual clothing.
