Mathew Hartman

May 31, 1967 - July 22, 2025

Mathew Jon Hartman, 58, of Lincoln, NE, passed away on July 22, 2025. He was born on May 31, 1967, in McCook, NE, to Duane and Kasey (Miller) Hartman.

Mathew was a dedicated father to his two children. He loved to play pool, hunt, and camp in his free time. He was a known storyteller, who loved to make others laugh. He was artistic, outdoorsy and could use duct tape to solve any problem. He was a huge sports fan, especially when it came to the Philadelphia Eagles, Nebraska Huskers, and the Lincoln Stars.

He is survived by his daughter Olivia; son Joseph; mother Kasey Elgert; former spouse Tracie Conway: sister Lea (Brad) Barker; brothers Andrew (Jennifer) Hartman and Ezekiel (Kimmy) Hartman; nieces and nephews; Katie (Adam) Neemann, Camden Barker, Gage Hartman, Mira Hartman, Hezekiah Hartman, Brandon Bacon, and Skyler Bacon.

He is preceded in death by his father, Duane, and his loyal dog, Justice.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 28, 2025, at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 8550 Pioneers Blvd. An interment will be held following the service at 3:15 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Park.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Roper and Sons South Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Dr.
