Virginia was a member of the Bethany Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Lincoln Lioness Club, and past member of the Lancaster County Chorus.
Family members include, children, Jerry (Sue) Kirkland, Debra (Dean) Smith, Jack Kirkland, and James (Denise) Kirkland, and 9 grandchildren.
Preceded in death by husband, Jack Kirkland, both parents; siblings, Bill Sack, Paul (Vernice) Sack, Velma (Carl) Wilk, and Pauline Rivera, granddaughter, Nicole Kirkland, grandson, Ryan Smith, and great-grandson, Samuel Pesek.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 10, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ St. Lincoln, NE 68510.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday March 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Christian Church, 1645 N Cotner Blvd, Lincoln, NE 68505, with a reception to follow. Burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.
