Mark Alan Treasure

September 17, 1952 - June 3, 2022

Mark Alan Treasure, 69, of Lincoln passed away on June 3, 2022, at CHI Health St. Elizabeth. Born September 17, 1952, in Hinsdale, IL to Robert Kenneth and Shirley (Adair) Treasure.

Mark was a 1970 graduate of Center High School in Kansas City, MO. After high school, he attended Northeast Missouri University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture from Kansas State University in 1974.

On August 12, 1978, Mark married Cheryl Lynn Williams and they made their home in Kansas City MO, St. Joseph MO, Davenport IA and Lincoln NE.

Mark enjoyed ham radio, model rocketry, photography, trout fishing, camping , volunteering for the Red Cross, rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, and a mission trip to Bueno Aires, Argentina in 1988. He earned an EMT – Basic and HAZWOPER Certifications as a volunteer.

Family members include his wife, Cheryl; sons Robert (Rebecca) and Kevin; grandchildren Elayna and Dayson; nieces Windy Gallagher and Phoebe Glover; and nephew Garrett Williams.

Preceded in death by his parents Robert K. and Shirley (Adair) Treasure, brother Robert Dale, brother-in-law Brownlee Williams, niece Katrina Ingold, and nephew Robert Christopher Treasure.

Mark’s inurnment will be at the Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri, a place he always considered home.

Memorials to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, American Red Cross, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Lincoln Shriner’s Hospital for Children, and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
