Lyle H. Johnson, 88, of Lincoln, died Thursday (8-22-13). Born (1-10-25) in Cook, NE to Claude H. and Leora M. (Hauberg) Johnson. WWII U. S. Army Veteran where Lyle serviced in the European Theatre of Operations. Ret. 1990, Manager of Farmers Co-op for over 30 years in Talmage, Shelby, Waverly and Pleasant Dale, NE. Member: Vine Congregational Church, American Legion Post 246 and V.F.W Post 10042. Past member of Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge and Eagles Club.
Family members include his daughter, Phyllis (Norman) Saale, Grand Island, NE; son, Jerry L. Johnson, Lincoln, NE; grandchildren, Malia Saale and Sean (Lori) Saale, Lincoln, NE; great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren; sister, Joyce (Robert) Nowack, Brock, NE. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Gladys; brothers, Wayne and Ray; step-daughter, Sharon M. Benson.
