Lorraine Louise Hoy of Lincoln passed away on October 22, 2018 peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She attended Lincoln High School where she met her future husband, Dean Hoy. They married in 1948 and started a family and began to reach for their dreams. They enjoyed 70 wonderful years together.
Lorraine worked many years as an executive secretary at Bankers Life, followed by a long career as office manager for Dean’s office.
Lorraine always wanted to be remembered as one of the original recyclers. She was an avid Husker fan that attended the games in all kinds of weather. Lorraine and Dean were world travelers, visiting many European countries.
Lorraine was a gracious hostess having many gatherings at their home with family and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
Survivors include her husband, Dean R. Hoy; children, Linda (Chuck) Roberts, Randy (Laura) Hoy, Vickie (Michael) Sexton; grandchildren, Jefferson (Jacqui) Roberts, Benjamin Roberts, Michael (Laura) Sexton, Nora Sexton; great grandchildren, Ella, Avery, Jackson, and Celia; best friend, Bertie Klein. Preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Gladys and Donna.
Memorial service 3 p.m., Friday (10-26-18) at Roper & Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Dr., Lincoln, NE. No visitation/cremation.
Burial at Simmons Saltillo Cemetery.
