Lola and her husband Loyd of 64 years traveled all over the world. A great cook and baker, Lola made fried chicken, Christmas cookies galore, birthday cakes, whatever the occasion called for. She and Loyd were avid Husker football fans and had season tickets for decades. Also, a true KC Royals and KC Chiefs fan, she watched every game no matter how late it was on. Lola was an excellent seamstress, making her daughter Karen a dress for every holiday. She loved spending time in her flower garden.
Lola was a member of the Sheridan Lutheran Church and a volunteer for Meals On Wheels.
Family members include her son John (Diane) Terpsma; daughter Karen (Steve) Knobel, all of Lincoln; grandchildren Ryan (Sara) and Brandon Terpsma, Kelsey (Jake) Cunningham, Shelby (Brett) Kunz, and Alec Knobel; great-grandsons Mack, Beau, and Ozzy Kunz, and Callum Cunningham; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death her parents, husband Loyd of 64 years, and brother Ray.
