Lois J. Williams

October 23, 1925 - December 31, 2016

Lois J. Williams, 91, of Lincoln passed away on December 31, 2016 surrounded by her family.. Born October 23, 1925 in Yankton, SD to Howard and Lois (Clark) Nichols. Lois was active in many organizations throughout her life. Member of Westminster Presbyterian church, Hillcrest Country Club, Symphony Guild. Past president of the Mrs. Jaycees-1957, Jr. Women’s Club 1971-1972, Lincoln Legal Auxiliary 1983-1984, served on the monitoring board for separate juvenile courts, formerly appointed to be a member for the study of programs and services for dependent youth and youth offenders in NE, Keystone Chapter #33 O.E.S. Yankton, SD 50 yr. member, past chairman for the Hillcrest Women’s Golf Association, and 1998 President of Nebraska Lawyers Auxiliary.

Lois enjoyed golf, bowling, and gardening and played a lot of Bridge. She was the best wife, mom, and grandmother that could ever be. Everything she did was done with love.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years The Honorable Judge Richard Williams; daughters, Jan (Rick) Martinez of Danville, CA; Joni (Dr. Randall) Dotson of Lincoln; foster daughter, Sharon Olson; grandchildren, Jenny (Matt) Bouwens, Jill (Peter) Zimmer, Kris (Ashley) Dotson, Jeff, Kyle, and Korey Dotson, Kelli, Richie, and Scott Beasley; and 9 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, and 1 brother.

Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday (1-7-17) at Westminster Presbyterian Church (Chapel), with Rev. Dr. Andrew McDonald officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 5-7p.m. at Roper and Sons Funeral home, 4300 ‘O’ St. Private family burial at Lincoln Memorial Park.
