Lila married Lavern A Schroeder of Garrison, NE on April 12, 1953, in Grand Island, they lived and farmed near Rising City.
Prior to moving to Lincoln, she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Schuyler and was involved in Ladies Aid and LWML. Lila enjoyed quilting and made many quilts for family and Lutheran World Relief.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Lavern, brothers and sister-in-law; Vernon (Gene) Hackerott and Glenn Hackerott, and son-in-law Harvey Curtis.
Lila is survived by three daughters; Vicki (Jay) Nisely of Lincoln, Marlene Curtis of Larkspur, Co, and Lorna (Keith) Ringle of Fremont. Grandchildren; Leah, Colin, and Lauryn Curtis, Erika (Joe) Vizcaino, and Lance (Kiley) Ringle. Great-Grandchildren; Ella Christopher and Peyton Marfisi.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday February 28, 2025, at Roper and Sons South Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Dr.
Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday March 1, 2025, at Christ Lincoln 4325 Sumner St, Lincoln NE.
