LaVerne E. Sanborn Neiswanger, 96, of Lincoln, died Tuesday (7-16-13). Born (1-18-17) in Douglas, NE to Ed and Ethel (Sutton) Malone. Ret. 1980, Clerk for Nebraska State Dept. of Welfare. Former co-owner of Sally’s Restaurant and Howard’s Wonder Bar in Lincoln and Red Cliff Motel in Colorado Springs, CO. Member of American Legion Auxiliary, V.F.W. Auxiliary and Eagles Auxiliary.
Survived by her son, James H.(Cindy) Sanborn, Lincoln, NE; daughters, Lorna Lynn (Joe) Howe, Omaha, NE, Julie (Jim) Pommier, Grand Junction, CO; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husbands, Howard H. Sanborn and Paul Neiswanger; 2 brothers; 4 sisters.
Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Saturday (7-20-13) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street with Pastor Kerry O’Bryant officiating.
