Kevin Dean McCoy, 66, of Lincoln passed away November 8, 2021. Born November 15, 1954, in Lincoln, NE to Calvin Dean and Shirley Mae (Bridger) McCoy.

Kevin was the owner of Trendsetters hair design for 35 years.

Family members include his wife, Becky Hansen; daughter Chelsea McCoy; son Tanner McCoy; stepchildren Sarah Yelkin, Ryan, Luke, and Jacob Hansen; grandchildren Tila Tuinstra, Ruby and Phineas Bunisky, Stryker and Zoey McCoy, Logan Yelkin, Charlie, Henry, and Ava Hansen; mother Shirley Mae McCoy; brother Jim (Kathy) McCoy. Preceded in death by his father Calvin Dean McCoy.

Celebration of Life Reception will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Drive. Masks are required.

I just heard of Kevin’s passing. So sorry to hear of his loss. We had a great time with practical jokes back in the early 80’s when I lived in Lincoln. I was able to stop by and see him a couple of times over the last three years and shared some great laughs. I was headed to Lincoln again next week and planning on heckling him and laughing with him again … guess I won’t get that chance. Wherever he is … I hope he’s having some good laughs as he watches us all continuing to fumble our way through life. Rest in peace Kevin
