Kathy was raised in Shelby, Nebraska, where she was an active student at Shelby High School, playing volleyball and participating in the pep club. She graduated in 1977 and went on to pursue her education at Platte Community College, earning her LPN license. Kathy then moved to Omaha, where she began her nursing career. It was in Omaha that she met the love of her life, Nader, and their deep connection was evident from the start. The couple relocated to Lincoln and were then married on August 9, 1983, in Vegas and went on to have two children, Brent and Jordan.
Kathy continued her nursing career at Lincoln General Hospital before transitioning to a new role at the family restaurant, Billy’s, where she wore many hats and contributed in countless ways.
Kathy’s greatest joy was her family, especially her sons, whom she was immensely proud to watch grow into the wonderful individuals they are today. She treasured every moment spent with her beloved granddaughter, Avery, whether they were playing with makeup or simply enjoying each other’s company—these moments were among her most cherished.
An enthusiastic traveler, Kathy was always ready for the next adventure with Nader, particularly their trips to Las Vegas, one of her favorite destinations. She was also a passionate animal lover, with a special affection for the many dogs and cats who brightened her life over the years.
Kathy will be remembered for her warm heart, her love for her family, and her vibrant smile. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
