J. John Miller, Jr.

June 9, 1945 - November 20, 2025

My best friend and husband is in the arms of Jesus. John passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from Malignant Melanoma. He was born on June 9, 1945, in Lincoln, NE.

John was active with Valley Hope and AA having celebrated 52 years of sobriety. His passion was working with and helping those in need.

John proudly served as a Sargent of the United States Marine Corps.

He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and served on the Foundation.  John was baptized by Pastor John Kunze on April 5, 2009.

Upon retirement from banking and Networks, John started a commercial real estate development, Pioneer Woods, where he was still a partner.

His hobbies included traveling with Karen, cruising, playing with Corvettes, fishing, and taking care of his special friend Teddy, his Golden Retriever.

John is survived by his wife, Karen, of 46 years; niece Caren Miille; family of Karen and many special friends.

He is proceeded in death by his sister, Pat Halada.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Messiah Lutheran Church (1800 S 84th St, Lincoln, NE 68506).

A private interment will take place at Lincoln Memorial.

Memorials are designated to Messiah Lutheran Church and Valley Hope Association.
