John Thomas Aalborg, 71, Lincoln, passed away November 10, 2016. Born July 3, 1945 in Omaha, Nebraska to Jake and Wilma (Wanek) Aalborg. Aurora High School, University of NE, Sigma Phi Epsilon, U. S. Army War Veteran. First -Mid America, Paine Webber, Warner Group, Ret. Maintenance Personnel for Southwood Apartments. Director of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Nebraska Chapter.
Family members include his wife, Linda Denkinger; son, John “Jack” Aalborg, Paris, France; daughter, Jenny Aalborg, Denver, CO; step-sons, John (Angela) McCarter and Jason (Cheryl) McCarter, all of Lincoln; 4 grandchildren; ex-wife, Jane Aalborg, Lincoln. Preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Joe.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at The Press Box, 5601 South Street.
