John Rabe, 58, Lincoln, died Friday (6-3-11). Born (1-12-53) in West Point, Nebraska to Edwin and Verna J. (Stahling) Rabe. Contractor. A sports fan, he loved the New York Yankees, football and softball. He enjoyed listening to music. An avid builder. He liked to work in the yard, be out in the sun and watching his son Zac play.
Family members include his wife Cory; son Zac; mother Verna Rabe; brother Jeffrey Rabe; brothers-in-law Gary Borgmeyer, Rod Borgmeyer and families; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father Joshua, son Sean, mother and father-in-law Wilma and Melton and grandparents.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday (6-10-11) Christ Lutheran Church, 4325 Sumner Street, Rev. Dr. Luke Schnake, officiating.
