John was married for almost 40 years to his high school sweetheart, Cindi Jean (Dennis) Hahn and together they raised three children, Tyler Hahn, Abby Wenninghoff and Katie Mack. John was a loved and loving “Papa” to his 9 grandkids. After Cindi passed, John was lucky to find love again with Michele Hedden who was by his side when he passed. Throughout his life, John taught his children and grandchildren the true value of integrity, humility, fairness, and love.
A funeral service will be held at St. Mark’s Methodist Church, 8550 Pioneers Blvd, Lincoln, NE, on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with a celebration of life to follow at Wilderness Ridge Country Club, 1800 Wilderness Wood Pl, Lincoln, NE.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital in John’s name.
