John Eric Clarke, 43, of Lincoln, died Monday (2-25-13). Born (5-11-69) in Auburn, NE to Roger and Nancy (Epler) Clarke. Graduate of Auburn High School. Member Capital City Christian Church, N-Club, former Husker football player. John was a Lincoln Police Department K-9 officer and statewide certification trainer.

Survived by wife, Lisa Lannin-Clarke; Daughters, Chayse and Hope Clarke; son, Colton Clarke, all of Lincoln; mother, Nancy Clarke, Lincoln; brother, Roger Tim Clarke, Brock, NE; brother-in-law, Brent(Anna) Lannin, Malcolm, NE, John(Amy) Lannin, Columbia, MO, Thomas(Heather) Lannin, Lincoln; parents-in-law, Gordon(Karen) Lannin, Murdock,NE; Aunts and Uncles, Marilyn(Ben) Wade, Bette(Jerry) LaVigne, Dale(Marietta) Epler, Joe(Linda) Epler, John(Mary) Epler, Sid (Carol) Bruggeman, Robert Lannin, Judy(Bob) O’Brien, Randi (Keith) Weber; Nieces and Nephews, Jacob Clarke, Sophia Lannin, Rachel Lannin, Elizabeth Lannin, Justin Lannin, Taylor Lannin, Grant Lannin; many cousins; K-9, Remo; Preceded in death by father, Roger, grandparents.

Funeral Service: 10:00 am Friday (3-1-13) at Capitol City Christian Church, 7800 Holdrege Street with Pastor Rusty Miller & Pastor Bill Thornton officiating.

Memorials to Capitol City Christian Church, Special Olympics, & Clarke Children Education Fund, c/o Wells Fargo Bank.

Visitation: 2-8 pm Thursday with family present from 6-7:30 pm at Roper and Sons.
