We are so sorry for your loss. Back in the day, John traveled many a mile with Dave, backpacking and seeing the back country gems that America had to offer. Life and family commitments soon took precedence, but John was always held dear in our hearts. Such a wonderful human being, kind, sweet, and full of humor. He will be sorely missed. Love to the family and friends who will mourn this loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. John was such a kind and patient man. I knew him through the Llamas and many games of pitch in the old days. We reconnected in recent years through his work with the DHHS Help Desk, where I was one of his most frequent customers. My sincere sympathy.

I was very fond of John in all the years we worked together. I’m so sad to hear of his passing, he was always cracking jokes – he was into dad jokes before dad jokes were cool. As a DHHS teammate, I’m grateful for the years John’s family shared him with us. He was a treasure – always kind and helpful. Please know that he left a lasting legacy on those who had the pleasure of working with him.

To the family of John Nelson, We lost a terrific person. I worked with John for many years. We spoke about scouting as both my boys are Eagle Scouts. He was so proud of his boys. John was extremely helpful pleasant and provided light humor in the workplace. He ended each conversation with “my pleasure”. John- it was a pleasure working with you.
