Joel grew up on a ranch and was never without his cowboy boots and hat. He was so proud of the honorary cowboy hard hat given to him upon his retirement from Concrete Industries in July of 2020. He loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He was kind to others and a hard worker.
Joel is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Connie Lynn (Strauss) Mendoza and his daughter, Carly Raquel Mendoza.
Joel’s ashes will be spread in the woods in a private ceremony this fall.
