Jerry W. Gorton, 65, Lincoln, died Monday (12-3-12). Born (4-3-47) in Omaha, NE to Wayne and Gertrude (Vallery) Gorton. Ret. Exterminator, Terminex. Graduate of Plattsmouth High School. Member: BPOE #80 where he was a Santa for the Elks Lodge Children’s Christmas Party, Boy Scouts of America and Masons.
Survived by his son, Byron Wayne (Teresa) Gorton; grandchildren, Elisa Naomi Gorton and Jack Wayne Gorton, all of Lincoln; sister, Valerie (Rob) Smith, Leawood, KS; brother, Jack R. (Kathy) Gorton, Plattsmouth, NE; 3 nieces and 3 nephews; step-mother, Florence Haskins, Lincoln, NE. Preceded in death by parents, wives Mary Beth and Patricia Sue.
Prior graveside service at 2:00 p.m. Friday (12-7-12) at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, 6800 S. 14th St. Please meet at gate #2 followed by the memorial service at 3:00 p.m. at Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ St.
