He was born in Lincoln, NE and resided there for the majority of his life, until he moved to Beatrice, NE.
Jerry served in the Navy.
He is survived by his daughter Amelia Barnes, his grandchildren Mariah, Renee, Lyum and Avery, his niece Stacy Barnes, nephews Orville, Kevin, and Cory Barnes, great nieces Stephanie Zielke, Jill West, and so many more. He is joined by his son Roger Smisek, his parents Amelia and Marion. Brothers Gary and Orville, sisters Ruth-Ann, Mary-Jo, and Jan on July 2, 2023.
Memorial Service: Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel.
