Janice “Jan” L. Obst, 78, of Lincoln passed away June 4, 2024. Born June 7, 1945, in Omaha, NE to James and Mabel (Eaton) Newman.

Jan was an Administrative Assistant for Kelly Supply. She was a dedicated member of the Southern Heights Presbyterian Church, the Nebraska Admirals Association & the University of Nebraska Chancellors Club.

Jan was an avid Husker and Green Bay Packers fan. She loved music, horses, boating, skiing and spending time at their cabin at the lake. Jan especially loved being a Grandma. Her Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren called her G’ma Honi.

Family members include her husband, Bob; daughters Jacqueline Tummons (Brian) and Joyce Fisher; son Rob Obst (Rene’e); Grandchildren Siara (James) Kargle, McKaela Kelsey, Madison Tummons, and Kaden Obst; Great Grandchildren Kāslynn and Adalynn Kargle.

Preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

Memorial service: August 18th, 2024 at 2:00pm Southern Heights Presbyterian Church 5750 South 40th Street, Lincoln NE 68516
