Janice Carolyn Rohrbaugh, 86, Lincoln, died Thursday (7-29-10). Born (8-5-23) in Lincoln, Nebraska to James C. and Clara (Welsch) Dudley. She was the first born of six children. She graduated from Lincoln High School and attended the University of Nebraska majoring in Music. She played for KFAB Morning Show with “Texas Mary”, and then went on the road playing in Big Bands and clubs throughout the Midwest.
She returned to Lincoln and married Robert Rohrbaugh and moved just outside of Denton, Nebraska where they farmed. She continued her career in music playing for the “Cosmopolitans” and teaching at Dietze Music.
Janice moved to Lincoln recently due to her health and resided in Lincoln at Haven Manor North until her death reaching the age of eighty six years eleven months and twenty four days.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents and two infant brothers. She is survived by her brothers Marvin L. Dudley, Melvin L. Dudley, her sister Phyllis Albert; several Nieces, Nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday (8-4-10) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street.
