James R. “Jim” Hoover

February 10, 1965 - September 23, 2008

James R. “Jim” Hoover, 43, Lincoln, died suddenly Tuesday (9-23-08) of a pulmonary embolism. Born (2-10-65) in Emporia, KS to George and Marilyn (Moore) Hoover. Staff Sergeant – Nebraska Army National Guard. Former resident of St. Joseph, MO and Lincoln resident since 1970. Very active in model railroading, especially “N’ scale. Entered the Army National Guard in 2000 with deployments in Germany, France, Turkey and Guam working with electronic servicing and repair of KC135 aerial refueling tankers.

Family members include his father: George, Lincoln; sister, brother-in-law: Carol and Philip Corbeels, nieces: Andrea and Erica Corbeels, all of Columbus, IN; aunts: Hellen Tuttle, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin; Lillian Keith, Eugene, Oregon; many cousins. Preceded in death by mother – Marilyn.

Celebration of Life Service: 7:00 p.m. Monday (10-6-08) Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ Street. Please wear casual attire.

The family requests no flowers or memorials.
