Jim retired from Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph after 45 years of service ending his career working as a senior engineer. He was an active member of the First Lutheran Church for 68 years, as well as a member of the Telephone Pioneer Association.
Family members include his wife of 72 years Barbara; children Susan Boney of Springfield, MO and Robin (Jack) Marple of Eagan, MN; grandchildren Brooke (Sean) Sutton and Lindsay Boney; 4 great-granddaughters; 1 great-grandson; brother Dick (Violet) Howat of Lincoln; numerous nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, sister Lulu Belle Howat, and brothers Bob and Joe Howat.
To honor the family’s wishes, there will be no funeral service at this time. We invite you to please privately celebrate Jim.
