James D. “Don” Frain, 90, Lincoln, died Sunday (11-18-12). Born (3-4-22) in Waverly, Nebraska to Ernest V. and Bertha I. (Swacker) Frain. Ret. Foreman, Burlington Northern/Sante Fe Railroad. WWII U. S. Navy Veteran. Member: Havelock United Methodist Church, Odd Fellows for over 40 years, lifetime member of American Legion Post #342 and VFW, Burlington Northern Retirees Association, BSA Order of the Arrow. Don enjoyed gardening, fishing and raising quail.
Survived by his sons: Jim Frain, Gerald (Pat) Frain and Mike Frain; daughter: Linda (Mike) Purser; grandchildren: Jennifer, Angela, Michael, Annette, Mike, Jessica and Steven; 5 great grandchildren; sister: Leta McGinnis; brother: Ernest (Joyce) Frain; brother-in-law: Fred Schoneweis; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Pauline, one brother and two sisters.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday (11-24-12) Havelock United Methodist Church, 4140 North 60th with Rev. Chuck Cornwell officiating.
