Jacquelyne “Jackie” Wheatley, 76, Lincoln, passed away December 14, 2016. Born December 16, 1939 in Cheney, Nebraska to Richard and Myrna (Strayer) Cummings. Retired after 25 years with the DMV. Married to Larry Wheatley on September 14, 1957 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Jackie was also a licensed cosmetologist. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, traveling, and riding motorcycles.
Family members include her husband, Larry; son, Dwayne Wheatley (finance, Velva Walters); daughter, Debra (Rick) Birdsall, all of Lincoln; grandchildren, Mickey, Richard, Tammy, Patti Jo, Pamela, Silvia, Elena, Vincent, and Mario; sister, Teri (Larry) Tenney, Cheney, NE. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Deanna; sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Gerald Burge.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday (12-19-16) Heartlands Church, 10000 Yankee Hill Road with Pastor James Tuttle officiating. Burial in the Cheney Cemetery at a later date.
