Heather Nicole Springer, 35, Leavenworth, KS, formerly of Lincoln, passed away May 30, 2019. Born November 14, 1983 in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Heather was a 2002 graduate of Lincoln High School and later received her BSN from UNMC. She served in the Nebraska Army National Guard for six years and did two tours of duty in Iraq, receiving a Bronze Star and the DUSTOFF National Medic of the Year award in 2007. Heather enjoyed cooking, snow skiing and animals, especially dogs.
She is survived by her parents Dale (Victoria) Springer and Pam (Ronald) Burklund, all of Lincoln and extended family and friends.
Preceded in death by her grandparents Harold and Pat Springer, Ruth and Ster Helvey, uncle, Eugene Sengstake and aunt, Nancy Nolte.
Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m. Saturday (6-8-19) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hearts United for Animals in Auburn, NE or Lancaster County Veterans Treatment Court.
