Hazel Barrett, 96, of Lincoln and Bella Vista, AR, died Wednesday (9-17-08) in Biloxi, Mississippi. Born on a farm south of Eagle, Nebraska on April 19, 1912 to Austin Jonathan and Alta Mae (Hudson) Trimble. Ret. third grade teacher at Lincoln Public Schools and Omaha Westside. Member of First-Plymouth Congregational Church and B.P.O.E. Does. Avid bridge player, church and concert organist. Children and music were her passion.
Family members include daughter: Marlene Weers Pearson, Marion, IA; sons, daughters-in-law: Jim and Mary Barrett, Austin, TX, Robert and Susan Barrett, Ocean Springs, MS;
6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, H. Max Barrett and parents.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (9-23-08) Roper & Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street. Rev. Dr. Jim Keck officiating.
