Gregory George “Greg” Milem, 63, Bennet, passed away June 9, 2017 in Lincoln. Born November 20, 1953 in Slayton, Minnesota to George and Sarah (Tuin) Milem. Retired, State of Nebraska Dept. of Corrections after 28 years. U. S. Navy Veteran. Married to Janet Marie Barber on April 8, 1978 in Havelock.
Greg enjoyed hunting, going for a drive on Saturdays – destination unknown, loved music, cats with an attitude, hunting dogs, a good joke, and his grandchildren. He was an avid history buff, especially WWII, fire arms enthusiast and enjoyed taking his grandchildren out to shoot. Greg was very much a people person.
Family members include his wife, Janet; daughter, Rebecca (Mark) Kliewer, Kearney; son, Travis (Katie) Milem, Aurora; brother, Keith (Paulette) Milem, Lincoln; 5 grandchildren, Nathan Wooner, Makenna Milem, Michael Milem, Henry Kliewer, and William Kliewer; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceded in death by son, Ryan and his parents.
Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday (6-13-17) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ St.
Visitation with family present from 5-7 p.m. Monday at Roper and Sons.
