Gordon L. Pauley, 82, Lincoln, died Wednesday (5-26-10). Born (3-3-28) in Lincoln, Nebraska to L. H. and Albertina (Righter) Pauley. Ret. President/Chairman, Pauley Lumber Co., 40 yrs. Korean War U. S. Navy Veteran. Served in the Naval Reserves as officer in charge of Navy Intelligence retired as a Commander. Graduate of University of Nebraska (1949). Phi Beta Kappa honorary and Delta Upsilon fraternities; Member: Westminster Presbyterian Church, served as Elder and President of Foundation; Chancellor’s Club and President’s Club, both of UNL; Past President of Executive Club.
Family members include wife: Phyllis; daughter, son-in-law: Diana and Cory Schmid, Omaha; sons, daughters-in-law: Douglas and Kristin Pauley, Hastings; David and Joan Pauley, Lincoln; 6 grandchildren: Bryan Pauley, Scott Pauley, Lauran Pauley, Jeff Scott, Sean Pauley, Kathryn Pauley; 3 great granddaughters: Hannah Pauley, Lillian Pauley, Mara Scott.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (6-1-10) Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2110 Sheridan Blvd. Rev. Dr. Andrew McDonald officiating. Burial in Ft. McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, NE at a later date.
