Glen G. Engle, 81, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at his home. He was born September 10, 1930 to George and Mildred (Brunell) Engle. Glen worked at the railroad, as an insurance agent, was active in Prison Ministry, acted as Associate Pastor for Trinity Chapel Church for 12 years and worked as a Senior Citizen Transporter for the Lake Street Senior Center. He was involved in the Kiwanis Club, Christian Business Men, was a Boy Scout Master, Sunday School Superintendent and participated in a bowling league. Glen loved playing cards, gardening and studying the Bible.
Glen is survived by his wife Ruby, son Rex (Paula) Engle of Jackson, Michigan; grandson Jason M. Engle of Baton Rouge, LA; step-children Darla (Chet) Booth, David (Colleen) James, Denise (John) Phillips, Beth (Kyle) Hamlin, Susan Radziewicz, Jill (Gary) Harris and grandchildren Ryan Booth, Brooke James, Maddy Phillips, Cory Hamlin, Brad Hamlin, Zach Hamlin, Madison Hamlin, Nick Radziewicz, Kaila Radziewicz, Xavier Harris and Maria Harris.
A Celebration of Glen’s life will be held at Trinity Chapel Church, 550 West Rokeby Rd. on Friday, September 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastors Ken and Mary McQueen officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. at Wyuka Cemetery.
In his honor, memorial donations can be donated to Trinity Chapel Church or the family.
Visitation Thursday from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with a brief prayer at 7:00 p.m. at Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ Street and one hour prior to service time at the church.
