Geraldine F. “Jerry” Rueter, 98, of Omaha, formerly of Alvo, passed away February 7, 2018. Born March 9, 1919 in Elmwood, NE to George and Elda (Kunz) Lenz. Ret. 1991, elementary school teacher for Lincoln Public Schools. Member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Elmwood and Pacific Hills Lutheran Church in Omaha, W.I.F.E. (Women Involved in Farm Economics) 25 yrs, League of Women Voters, lobbied in Washington and Lincoln for agriculture also on the Governor Commission for water use. She drove trucks on the farm and traveled to Europe, Russia and Australia.

Family members include her daughter, Jacqueline Stott, Omaha; grandchildren, Laura (Chad) Jackson, Terrell, TX, Katherine (Brian) Krantz, Rockwall, TX, Chelsea Stott, Omaha; great-grandchildren, Jocelyn Jackson, C. J. Jackson, Kelly Krantz; great great grandchildren, Leilah, Caleb, Zane and Jack; godson, Bernie (Connie) Heier, Walton. Preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Lewis Koutsky and Elmer Daniel Rueter.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday (2-12-18) Roper and Sons Waverly Chapel, 10851 North 148th Street with Rev. Dennis Swenson officiating. Burial in the Alvo Cemetery.

Visitation one hour prior to service time at Roper and Sons Waverly.
