Gerald “Gerry” Richard Brodd

Gerald “Gerry” Richard Brodd, 84, of Lincoln passed away June 13, 2022. Born May 19, 1938, in Omaha, NE to Richard Oliver and Pearl Olive (Johnson) Brodd.

Gerry served in the U. S. Navy Reserves. He retired after 37 years as a trailer mechanic.
Gerry was a member of the Comet Lodge #229, A.F. & A.M. in Ceresco, NE, Sesostris Temple of the Shrine in Lincoln, and the Ceresco Lutheran Church.

Family members include his wife, Helen; children Tracy Allen Brodd, Bartley, Kimberly Ann Brodd Lyons, Lincoln, and Larry Dean (Vicki) Brodd, Papillion; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; sisters Donna Brodd, Richmond, VA and Nancy Maxson, Lincoln; brother Ronald Brodd, Albuquerque, NM. Preceded in death by his parents.

Celebration of Life: 10:00 a.m. Saturday (6-18-22) Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street with Masonic Services conducted by Comet Lodge #229, Ceresco.

We had a lot of fun with Gerry over the years of sprint car racing with Hightshoe Racing. Gerry and Helen traveled to almost all of the out of town races, Gerry with his signature toothpick and an onery smile!
