George graduated from Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale, where he played baseball, soccer, hockey, and lacrosse. He had a deep love for sports and adventure from a young age, and that passion never faded. As a family, they traveled everywhere—Hawaii, Colorado, the Bahamas, Florida, Paris, Amsterdam, and Mexico. He surfed, snowboarded, scuba dived, and soaked in every bit of life.
Every summer, you could find him at the lake in Nebraska, skiing, wakeboarding, and driving the boat with a smile that lit up the water.
He attended Scottsdale Culinary School and built a career as a chef, working all over Arizona and Colorado before settling in Nebraska. George didn’t just cook—he created. We’ll miss his food, his talent, and how he excelled at everything he did. He was curious, passionate, and loved researching new things just to learn something new. He was the kind of person who made everyone around him better.
George loved fireworks—especially the Fourth of July. He loved spending time with family. He was loved by everyone he met.
Most of all, to Klair, he was everything. Her best friend. Her greatest adventure. For his 30th birthday, they drove through the Keys together, stopping to explore every beautiful place along the way. He introduced her to scuba diving, to dolphins, to oceans, to flavors she’d never tasted before, and to a life that was fuller because he was in it. Every year they picked out a real Christmas tree together. They made traditions out of love. He saw the version of her she always hoped she could be—and helped her become that person.
He was a loving husband, son, son-in-law, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend.
George was preceded in death by his 2 grandfathers and Uncle Scott.
George is survived by wife Klair, parents George and Shelley and brothers Seth and Trey (Marely); niece Mia and nephew Lorenzo; 2 grandmothers: and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
George, we will miss you forever. You will always be in our heart.
