Elwyn Ervin (Erv) Rolofson, 92, of Lincoln died Thursday, August 16, 2018. He was born November 21, 1925 in Emerald, NE to Wayne and Alice (Slafter) Rolofson. Erv graduated from Raymond High School in 1942 and later served in the U. S. Army in Korea from 1950-1952 in the 185th Combat Engineering Battalion. He was a Land Improvement Contractor and farmer. He was a member of the Raymond United Methodist Church, Comet Lodge #229, Ceresco, Scottish Rite Sesostris Temple and Road Runners, Raymond Grange #391, American Legion Post #371, Valparaiso. He also served on the Board of Directors Agnew Elevator, former Raymond Central School Board member, former Raymond Volunteer Fire Department Board and fireman, and was a member of the Nebraska Land Improvement Contractors Association.
Survivors include, wife of 66 years, Marcy (Phillips). Sons, Dale Rolofson (Janet), Greenwood, Layne Rolofson (Jeanette), Raymond and Daughter, Cheryl Olson (Steve), Lincoln and sister, Alice Spath, Malcolm; grandchildren and spouses, Naomi Rolofson, Lindsay Salazar (Frank), Brittney Norris (Bright), Trevor Rolofson, Megan Rolofson, Sarah Roker (Steve), Jelayna Stauffer (Daron), Chelsea Rolofson, Leif Olson (Jenny), Erik Olson (Jerica), Krystal Olson. Great-grandchildren, Logan Salazar; Aurora, Titus, Ronan Norris; Peyton, Camdon, Jadon Roker, Jett Stauffer; Chloe, Makenna, Tristan Olson, Jack and Jacob Olson. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, Keene, brother, Wayne and sister Carol Meith.
Services will be 11:00am, Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Roper and Son’s South Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Drive, Lincoln, NE 68516. There will be a private prior burial at Oak Creek Cemetery, Raymond, NE.
Visitation will be Monday 2-8:00 pm with family greeting friends, 6-8:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to donor’s choice or to the family for later designation.
