Elizabeth “Beth” A. Steinhauer, 45, of Lincoln, passed away August 10, 2022. Born December 2, 1976, in Lincoln, NE to Henry and Linda (Morren) Steinhauer.

Beth worked at Stauffer’s and Lee’s Chicken. She loved animals, cooking, arts and crafts, singing and having fun.

Family members include her son Zachary Welch; daughters Justine McIlvane and Lynsey Hoage; mother Linda Steinhauer; sisters Brenda Steinhauer and Vicki (James) Campbell; brothers Dan, Tim, and Herb Steinhauer. Preceded in death by her father Henry, grandmother Helen Goggins, and grandparents Margaret and Henry Steinhauer Sr.

Memorial Service: Tuesday August 16^th at 1:00pm at Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street.

At Goodrich Jr. High I had the good fortune of being Beth’s Guidance Counselor. As the years passed I had some good talks with Beth, usually when she was working at Lee’s. I absolutely loved that girl. She shouldered great responsibilities, always. She did it with wisdom, grace and confidence. As adults, I considered her a friend. So often through the years I thought of Beth and her children, who I’m sure are as bright and beautiful as their mother. I will be forever grateful to have known Beth. And never will forget her. RIP, with love.

Lee’s chicken you were so fun to work with and it was nice to talk again a couple years back . I am truly in shock and heartbroken. Thanks for always being a great friend. To her family and kids I am so very sorry for your loss !

This is just so very hard to hear. So many shifts worked together at Lee’s for years. Such a supportive friend. Just heartbreaking. Thinking of your family. So sorry for this loss.
