Eleanor Jean “Dolly” Richards Geist, 84, formally of Lincoln, peacefully passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Skyridge Medical Facility Lone Tree, CO. She was born August 30, 1932 in Mobile Alabama to Montie and Mamie (Ehlers) Richards.
She attended and graduated from Pascagoula High School in 1951. After graduation she work at Ingalls Littleton shipyard. She met her husband James (Jim) Geist in 1953 at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi MS. Dolly and Jim were married February 7, 1954 in Pascagoula MS until Jim’s death on October 8, 2008. She was a member of PEO Chapter K & Grace United Methodist Church in Lincoln; she worked at Bankers Life and the family business Winters and Geist. Her life’s passion was a devoted wife and mother.
Dolly is survived by family members; son, daughter-in-law, Alec J. and Tracy Geist, Castle Pines CO; grandchildren, Joshua and Lauren Geist, Parker CO, Katherine ‘Kaile’ and Robert Kring, Dayton Ohio, Allison ‘Allie’ and Weston Gustafson of Portland OR; Great grandchildren James Geist, Lila Geist Parker CO and Eleanor (Nora) Kring Dayton, OH. Brother Montie “MR” Richards, Pascagoula MS sister, brother-in-law Dorothy “Dot” and Robert Kutarnia, Albuquerque, MN, brother-in-law and Sister-in-law Jack and Connie Geist Lincoln, NE, Joe Geist Lincoln NE, Kathryn McCartney, Belton, MO. many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 at Roper and Sons Saturday July 8th.
Services will be at 11:00 July 8, 2017 at Roper and Sons 4300 O St, Lincoln, NE.
