Edna Mae (Willis) Maag

Edna Mae (Willis) Maag, 96, Ashland, NE, died Saturday, March 8, 2008 in Lincoln, NE. Born November 4, 1911 in Wray, Colorado the oldest of 7 children to Fern Dallas Willis and Virginia Leta (Grant) Willis.

Married to Arthur Otto Maag on January 4, 1931 in Holyoke, Colorado. They lived most of their married life in McCook, Nebraska, but also lived some in Wray, Denver, Loveland and Ft. Collins, Colorado where they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1981.

After her husband’s death that same year, Edna lived for a short time in Denver and Waverly, Nebraska, before settling in Lincoln, Nebraska. The last 5 years she had been a resident of the Ashland Care Center.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law: Robert G. and Joy Maag, Lincoln, Nebraska;
Grandchildren, spouses, great grandchildren: Robert A. and Theresa Maag, Brian, Shannon, Brandon, Sean from Carlisle, Pennsylvanis; Morris and Becky Maag, Hannah, Heath, Jonas from Chandler, Arizona; Teresa and Robert J. Hruska, Rob, Jenny, Ryan from Waverly, Nebraska; brother: William J. Willis from Parker, Colorado; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, infant son, parents, 4 sisters, 1 brother.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday (3-15-08) First United Methodist Church, Waverly, Nebraska with Rev. James Wallasky officiating.

Memorials in lieu of flowers to the family for future designation.

Cremation/No Visitation.
