Doug was born May 9, 1952 at St. Mary’s Hospital in North Platte, NE (Paxton, NE) to Dewey and Marjory (Winter) Coleman. In 1979 Doug married Carol Coleman, and they spent 37 years together. Doug was a retired over-the-road truck driver for 40+ years, most recently employed by Crete Carrier Corporation. He continued to enjoy the open roads by riding his motorcycle. He was a member of First Street Bible Church.
Family includes sons, Ryan & Emily Coleman and Joe Coleman & Anna Wishart, all of Lincoln; grandchildren, Lucy and Wyatt Coleman; sister, Tina Luz, brother, Dan & Eileen Coleman and sister, Cathy & Brent McDaniel; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dave.
Memorial service will be 3:00pm, Saturday, April 11, 2026, at First Street Bible Church, 100 F St., Lincoln, NE.
